System Monitoring
Monitor the health and status of your ClickBeam and SkyBeam deployments, track platform connectivity, and ensure reliable event tracking across all systems.
Understanding System Status
Tandem Beam monitors five key infrastructure components for each advertiser to ensure reliable tracking:
SkyBeam Core
Central SkyBeam worker handling passive tracking across all advertisers
SkyBeam (Advertiser)
Advertiser-specific SkyBeam worker deployed to Cloudflare
ClickBeam
Client-side tracking script deployed to CDN
Beam Core
Central API for event tracking and platform orchestration
Platforms
Connected advertising platform APIs (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.)
Status Indicators
Each component displays a color-coded status indicator:
Healthy
Component is operational and tracking events successfully. All checks passing.
Degraded
Component is partially operational. Some features may not work correctly or performance is reduced. Investigate warning messages.
Error
Component is not operational. Tracking may be affected. Review error details and take corrective action.
Unknown / Disabled
Component not deployed or intentionally disabled. Gray indicates feature not in use.
Component Monitoring
SkyBeam Monitoring
SkyBeam status checks verify:
- Worker Deployment: Cloudflare worker deployed successfully
- Deployment Status: Worker status is "deployed" (not error/unknown)
- Recent Events: Events captured in last 24 hours (when enabled)
ClickBeam Monitoring
ClickBeam status checks verify:
- Script Deployment: Tracking script deployed to CDN
- Recent Events: Events captured in last 24 hours (event-based status)
- API Token: Active API token exists for tracking
Platform Monitoring
Platform status checks verify:
- Platform Configuration: Credentials configured and valid
- API Connectivity: Platform APIs responding successfully
- Recent Deliveries: Events successfully delivered to platform APIs
- Processing Enabled: Platform processing not paused by emergency toggles
Where to Find Status Information
Advertiser Dashboard
Visit any advertiser dashboard to see deployment status for that specific advertiser. Green checkmarks indicate healthy deployments, yellow warnings indicate degraded status, red errors require attention.
Platform Integrations Section
The Connected Platforms section shows platform-specific status including:
- Platform configuration status (configured vs not configured)
- API connection status (use "Test Connection" button)
- Processing enabled/disabled state
- Recent event delivery success/failure counts
Intelligence Reports
Intelligence Reports provide event-level status monitoring. Filter by source (skybeam, clickbeam) to verify events are being captured by expected systems.
Event-Based Health Monitoring
System health is determined by actual event tracking, not just deployment status:
How Event-Based Status Works
- System checks for events captured in last 24 hours
- If events exist with proper source attribution, status is healthy
- If no events in 24 hours, status shows degraded or error
- This ensures status reflects actual operational tracking (not just deployment)
Example: A deployed ClickBeam script with no events in 24 hours will show degraded status, prompting investigation.
Platform Test Tools
Each connected platform includes a "Test Connection" button for verifying API connectivity:
Using Test Connection
- Navigate to advertiser dashboard
- Scroll to "Connected Platforms" section
- Click "Test Connection" button for any platform
- System fires test event to platform API
- Results displayed showing success or specific error message
Success Response: Platform API responds with 200/201 status code, confirming credentials and configuration are correct.
Error Response: Displays specific API error (401 auth, 400 validation, etc.) for troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting Status Issues
ClickBeam Shows Error Status
Common Causes:
- Script not deployed or deployment failed
- No events captured in last 24 hours
- No active API token
Solutions:
- Check if script deployed (click Deploy button to redeploy)
- Verify script installed on website (check page source)
- Generate active API token if missing
- Test tracking manually to generate events
SkyBeam Shows Degraded Status
Common Causes:
- Worker deployed but not receiving traffic
- Cloudflare configuration issues
- Domain not properly configured
Solutions:
- Verify Cloudflare credentials in advertiser settings
- Check domain DNS configuration and proxy status
- Redeploy SkyBeam worker
- Test by visiting website to generate traffic
Platform Shows Error Status
Common Causes:
- Invalid or expired API credentials
- Platform API access revoked
- Rate limit exceeded
- Platform processing disabled
Solutions:
- Use "Test Connection" to identify specific error
- Refresh platform credentials (disconnect and reconnect)
- Verify platform API access in platform dashboard
- Check processing is not disabled in emergency controls
- Review Queue Management for failed jobs with error details
